Gabatto (Gabatto2share) Preview
The current data big bang and the expanding digital universe requires us engineers to boldly think and act where no man has gone before. We Japnese and Indian maestors have been working on side by side for over a decade to adress a solution in a data iInflationary epoch.
Gabatto, fast and scale out distributed file sharing system intended to eliminate backup, storage and file servers is
the ever dreamed solution from Inspire. Here is the preview of Gabatto powred by amzazon EC2 in the back end.
Challenged to Inerop Tolyo 2011 Cloud Computing Competion 2nd time with Gabatto DFS, we (Team Gabatto) could perform the demonstration experiment using upto 100 of clients transfering a relatively huge file(76.8MB in size) upto 36 Gabatto node powered on Linux PC servers at Starbed.
The 1st ever eye popping experiment brought CISCO award 2 consecutive year to Team Gabatto.
One of the demonstration was transferring 100 of the 76.8MB file to 36 nodes performed to finish in around around 9.9 seconds. What we learnt from this experience are:
1. Each client sends the file data at the rate of 7.68MB/second.
2. Gabatto node side could absorb the file data at the rate of 768MB/second.
3. Client side became the pefforamnce bottle neck, not the Gabatto node side.
We could guarantee this much of file write transfer request even with 10 nodes.
Here are the some of the captured movies we would like to share with you.
Upload 300 files (256KB/file) and one 76.8MB file from 5 clients:
1) Upload 300 files (256KB/file) from 5 clients to 5 nodes(comprising 15 Linux server machines) simultaneously.
2) Upload one 76.8MB file from 5 clients to 5 nodes(comprising 15 Linux server machines) simultaneously. Result: 3 seconds
Scalability trail, increasing the Gabatto node from 2 - 36:
1) Upload one 76.8MB file from 100 clients to 2 nodes(comprising 6 Linux server machines) simultaneously. Result: 34.4 seconds
2) Upload one 76.8MB file from 100 clients to 5 nodes(comprising 15 Linux server machines) simultaneously. Result: 15.9 seconds
3) Upload one 76.8MB file from 100 clients to 15 nodes(comprising 45 Linux server machines) simultaneously. Result: 10.4 seconds
4) Upload one 76.8MB file from 100 clients to 35 nodes(comprising 105 Linux server machines) simultaneously. Result: 9.9 seconds
We (Team Gabatto) were nominated to compete at 2011 Cloud Computing Competition held on coming Thursday June 9 as the one of the 10 finalists. The 10 finalists will demonstrate the latest cloud computing technologies on Live at Starbed computing network comprising 1,000 server machines powered with Fedora14.
Team Gabatto will facilitate the latest Gabatto DFS, the next generation of scale out DFS to the Starbed computing network to demonstrate how fast, scale and robust it is. Please come and join to witness

v6 includes not only optimization of the lines of source code, but also features as following:
We were nominated as the one of the 10 finalists who bring the early stage technologies
that make Cloud Computing more shiny.
The 10 finalists will demonstrate their technologies on Live at Starbed computing network
comprising 1,000 commodity PCs powered with Fedora12.
As a part of the Team Investech, we could come up with the infant stage of
Distributed File System(DFS), scale out type of DFS empowered with GBftp(Gabatto FTP) and
Nextra (Distributed Application Server). We call it as Nexra DFS or nDFS tha will compete with
the world famous Hadoop DFS. Early test result shows nDFS runs 2 - 2.5 times faster in file transfer
on the Starbed computing network in some cases. Team Investech continues to improve the nDFS and
we hope you come and join us the live demo to witness how faster we can strech.

The souvenir distributed to everybody at the party was wrapped in Furoshiki, a type of traditional Japanese wrapping cloth that were frequently used to transport clothes, gifts, or other goods. You are not only able to wrap books and papers in A4 size, but also able to wrap stationeries, groceries and so on. Believe or not, even you can wrap Laptop computer and carry it with Furoshiki. We would be very grateful if you join the bandwagon to use Furoshiki

10th anniversary & networking party
Inspire International Inc. marks 10th anniversary of its establishment on coming 8/25. Nextra now supports Asynchronous messaging, a long awaited feature, which lets you invoke multiple services simultaneously and process the each response immediately after the response comes back from the remote service. Making application loosely coupled using the asynchronous messaging technology helps to reduce drastically the application response time and easily scale the application in the later stage.
